Santa Clarita Newborn Family Feature – The Z Family

My good friend Rai is a lifestyle and mommy blogger and decided she wanted to invest in newborn portraits of her newest little bundle Enzo. This little guy was nothing short of dream baby to photograph. So sleepy and sweet and let me pose him without a single fuss. Rai and I laughed an talked about being in the business of mom and baby. Bonded even closer then we had before. It was truly a great experience getting to know my “mom friend” better on a deeper, more personal level and not to mention business as well! We are a family of four, have a 2.5-year-old daughter Cataleya and a 2M old Enzo, oh can’t forget about our two Chihuahuas Luna and LT that have been with us since we started dating. My husband Jezriel and I crossed paths when I was 17 years old (almost 18) in San Diego. I’m from Colorado and he was living in San Diego. We worked in the same company, but in different states and basically were pen pals for years until I had a job opportunity that moved me to San Diego at 21. We dated right off the bat lived with each other throughout college and got married in 2012. We both craved for better opportunities and moved up to Los Angeles months after our wedding. When we had our daughter in 2015 we decided to move a little north of LA, but not too far and that’s where we are planting our roots as we grow our family.

What session did you book with me? How was your experience of our time together? How would you describe it to friends or family?

A few, from minnies to family portraits, maternity, and newborn. Obviously, the experience has been amazing since we keep coming back. I like that you can capture amazing shots quickly because kids can only handle so much. The process of booking, to payment and receiving photos are simple and professional.

If you did a maternity session with me, tell us about your pregnancy journey so far? Any cravings? Exciting stories? Tips for fellow moms? We want details!

Pregnancy is hard for me and having them done wasn’t my top priority, even though I knew I regretted them with my 1st. After seeing the end result and for her to capture my body during that moment is priceless. Even though pregnancy feels I do miss it. As for tips, I totally recommend getting your hair and makeup done, one thing not to worry about. Ask Corinna bout maternity outfits because I had no idea there was an industry for them.

Why did you decide to invest in family or newborn photography?

Because I want our kids to see images of us and our family grow around our place and remind us of that moment. Kids change so much even by the month and I want to remember those stages and be in theme. My parents took tons of pictures of us kids, but rarely seen them in them. I don’t always want to be behind the camera.

How did you feel during your session? Any tips for others hoping to do the same?

Relaxed and just go with the flow even if your kid doesn’t feel up to being in photos >_<
