Dear New Mommy,

You probably remember the moment you found me. You were referred by a friend or found me when you typed in “Santa Clarita Newborn Photographer” into your Google search bar. Your heart melted as you scrolled through photos of so many stunning pregnant mommies and the newborns. (Who can resist those cute cuddly newborns in the most adorable poses?) You imagined your little bean in the portraits you saw in front of you. That is when you sent that first email to me, and that was it. In that moment, we began our relationship.

The Maternity Photography Session

I’ll never forget the first moment we met at your maternity photography session. You got out of your car, and you looked absolutely stunning — hair and makeup expertly done, glowing skin and that beautiful baby bump. I was in awe and so inspired by your beauty. When I asked you two to embrace, smiles beam from both of your faces, and I just knew you both were thinking of this little addition that will soon make your into a family. You’re growing a life inside of you, and it’s too miraculous not to document. We laughed, we talked, we were inspired by each other. Not only did our relationship blossom between one another as clients, but we forged an amazing friendship. That was a moment in time that we will both treasure forever.

And then something happened — your beautiful miracle was born.

The Newborn Photography Session

One of the best parts of my job is growing with my families. I love when clients return to document all of the big moments.  I adore how loyal you are to capturing these fleeting moments in your family’s life. These are the moments you want to remember, but know that you can’t possibly etch every detail in your mind forever. One day you will look back and be so thankful that you took the time to invest in capturing these memories.

When you brought that tiny little munchkin to meet me for the first time, I fell in love too — the chubby cheeks, the big beautiful eyes and that newborn smell only take me back to when I had my daughter.

The moment I held your baby, I was so excited to capture these amazing details in our newborn photography session. You watched me soothe your baby as they get restless, you relaxed and just enjoyed watching, you even asked me questions about babywearing! As I snuggled your little in the softest organic wrap you have ever felt and pose them in the most adorable little pose, their creamy skin and warm cuddly look, you knew, without a doubt, that this portrait will would be your favorite forever.

Forever Here for You

We talked about your birth story, and shared a truly intimate conversation between two mothers. The ups and the downs and the feelings of what it’s like to be a mother in these early days and late nights — I’ve been there, and I’m here for you.

These intimate moments with you, mom, are genuinely some of the best moments I have at newborn sessions. Listening to your journey blossoming into a mother and how your life is progressing is so unique from every other mom and I just LOVE IT. You and your beautiful baby are my inspiration — being your photographer, friend and part of your “tribe” is the best job I could possibly do. Thank you for choosing me.
